1 in 5 adults in the United States do not have a high school diploma or GED certification. This translates to more than 39 million people out of reach of the benefits a degree provides. Kentucky Educational Television (KET) Network, the largest PBS member network, created Fast Forward in response to this crisis. Fast Forward is a multi-platform program preparing adults for GED certification tests and providing professional development tools. There are so many statistics that show the need for this kind of program, but KET struggled to make those numbers real for potential participants, employer partners, and other PBS stations who could use this program. Without the support of these groups, Fast Forward would be inaccessible to the people who need it most. So KET engaged us to create promotional materials that humanize their numbers.
We provided a series of animated videos and flyers that are engaging and frank. Fast Forward changes lives in profound ways. The statistics represent millions of actual people with real stories. The animated videos and other promotional content present this in a digestible format and position the viewer as a critical component within the story. With a range of customized videos tailored to stockholders, business owners, and adult learners, KET Fast Forward is equipped to change minds and lives.
