Lexington has been called the Athens of the West, the Portland of Kentucky. It is the horse capitol. It is bourbon-soaked. It was a rest stop for Chicago gangsters heading to a Florida vacation. Which is a way of saying it was really fun. And, it still is.
It is southern, but not cloying. It has good restaurants you can afford. It has plenty of outdoorsy stuff, artsy stuff. It is walkable and bikeable if that is your thing. We are in the heart of the NoLi (North Limestone), home to a unique collection of nutjobs, families, artists, and entrepreneurs.
